THE PEST COMPANY - Accredited applicators of Termidor & Termidor HE
The Pest Company are accredited operators of Termidor. We have completed hundreds of chemical applications using Termidor without any failures. We recommend Termidor for chemical treated zone applications and for live infestations.
We have found that with the use of Termidor and a registered foaming agent combined together and or using Termidor Dust we can gain the elimination of termite infestations in homes. The product provides TPC with confidence.
A live active Termite treatment even when using Termidor does not protect the home unless a full treated zone is installed around the property foundations (but not limited to) as per the Australian Standards AS3660.
"Our 18 year experience in the pest industry and our Termidor accreditation is what provides the strength in the fight against Termites"
Feel you need even more confidence? Then rest assured we are accredited Termidor & Termior HE (High Efficiency) installers. Termidor HE is the best available termiticide on the market.
When drilling concrete paths, patios and tiles becomes a worry for home owners, then Termidor HE residual termiticide maybe the product you are looking for, however you'll need to get the basics on what the differences are between Termidor Residual Termiticide & Termidor HE when it comes to price and the requirements when installing the product by drilling holes in concrete according to the label.
There are a few benefits with HE but one main point you as the home owner will be impressed by is the difference in drill hole spacing's between the original "Termidor SC" being between 150 - 200mm (depending on soil conditions) compared to Termidor HE 350 - 450mm (depending on soil conditions), meaning less drill holes especially if you have nice tiles. The below images show how any holes are needed to be drilled for most applications where Termidor HE the hole spacing's are far greater.
Life Expectancy of Termidor; Both Termidor SC and Termidor HE have a life expectancy of *8 years as listed on the label. Noting that the actual protection period is affected by factors such as Termite pressure, climatic and soil conditions and subsequent soil disturbance. Our experienced technicians will also point out any exterior or internal drainage concerns or leaks that are present within our first initial inspection and report and on all ongoing termite inspections and reports carried out at the property.
Re Inspections - As with all chemical termiticides regular Termite Inspections are essential (at least annually) by a competent Termite Management Inspector who is licensed in Timber Pests as bridging and breaching of treated zones can occur. The need for re treatment should be determined as a result of these inspections.
Re Treatment - To re-establish the treated zone after the 8 year Period of Protection or depending on site conditions it maybe earlier if necessary, re-application at full rates is required.

Termidor is a "Non Repellent Chemical"
Why is this important?
Termites travel with limited fear, they love moisture and food and they do whatever it takes to get it. Using a "Non Repellent Chemical" like Termidor is beneficial as Termites travel through the treated zone area with limited fear, however unknowingly transfer the chemical on to their body and transfer it to each by contact, grooming and exchanging of food that assists in preventing concealed termite entry, whilst increasing the chances of achieving colony elimination.
What is a "Repellent Chemical"?
A repellent chemical is designed to be a chemical termiticide barrier that is sensed by Termites which forces them away from the chemical soil treatment that has been applied. Ok so we now know repellent Chemicals repel termites , however what if the Termites are smarter than we think, what if they avoid the treated areas as they do and continue on around the home searching for a weakness in the barrier, like an unknown crack in the slab or where construction difficulties limit chemical treatments, then it is highly likely that these areas will be found by Termites leading to a possible termite infestation.
Termites know if a repellent chemical is in its way, and knowing this, they bypass the chemical in the never ending search for food and moisture. Termites never stop looking for a way in for a feed. Termidor is a non repellent Treated Zone, where termites can't detect Termidor due to its innovative non-repellent technology which provides The Pest Company with confidence.
Did you know termites only need a few millimetres of soil to gain access. For example, when drilling into concrete slabs and injecting chemical termiticides for protection, there can be limitations that may exist unbeknown to us, like rocks, hard clay, soil types that may place risk on the installation of the barrier, this is why we believe and trust non repellent termiticides like Termidor and Termidor HE when protecting and managing homes from termite ingress.
We recommend Termidor as we have the experience and the results to prove it's success when installed by The Pest Company and the results provided by the manufacturer of Termidor, BASF.
We also understand that not every chemical termiticide is suited for every application or when construction makes installations difficult, that's why The Pest Company have other options up our sleeve!
