Rats and Mice create havoc and spread disease throughout Southeast Queensland and Northern NSW. Understanding Rodent behaviour is one challenge; however, trying to eliminate them is one of the greatest challenges for mankind. Hygiene plays an important part in any Rodent Management program.
Controlling Rats and Mice starts with a Rodent Management Plan, the same way a pest control starts, with a well managed clean property. Keeping up with the ongoing maintenance required at a property sometimes slips away, which can be the start of something much larger. A clean property is just the start of Integrated Pest Management. Keeping things clean is critical; ensuring all food is securely kept away from Rodents helps improve the program.
Even the cleanest homes and commercial businesses get Rodents.
Rodent Control Treatments
There are different modes of action when it comes to using baits to control rodents. Traps are an option for smaller populations, and in most cases, both small and large infestations rodenticide baits are placed strategically in the path of the rats searching for a feed to gain effective control. But, remembering, it may take a few weeks to gain full control.
For a single dose, rodents consume a lethal dose in a single feed, whereas for multi-dose, rodents must feed on the baits for several days before accumulating a lethal dose.
