- Brown Rate
- Black Rat
- House Mouse
They are present on every continent, causing problems that range from damage and loss in food production to structural damage and disease transmission. Rodents harbour serious livestock diseases including several bacteria and viruses. (Courtesy of Bayer Environmental Science, Web 2017)
Keepng it clean
Control starts with a well managed clean property. Reduce all access to food and remove rubbish that rodents can use to hide and breed in, an ideal way to reduce infestations in buildings is to ensure you rodent proof the premises.
There are different modes of action when it comes to using baits. The Pest Company have many options and may decide on the most effective method once they access the site.
Traps are an option for smaller populations and in most cases both small and large infestations rodenticide baits are placed strategically in the path of the rats in search of food to gain an effective control. Remembering, it may take a few weeks to gain full control.
For single dose, rodents consume a lethal dose in a single feed, whereas for multi-dose, rodents must feed on the baits for several days before accumulating a lethal dose
The advantage of multi-dose is a significantly reduced risk of secondary poisoning of non-target species (Courtesy of Bayer Environmental Science, Web 2017)
