Masonry Core filled block walls must be protected and cannot be relied upon as a method of Termite Management unless the entire wall is available for visual inspections, which is rarely ever achieved. There are options to minimise a full wall treatment, however, only under the expert opinion of a Termite Management technician should any builder or owner builder attempt to build without the understanding of the requirements under the Australian Standards (AS3660.1:2014 Termite management, Part 1: New building work) and the National Construction Code.
