Live termites located in an Exterra Interception and Baiting system may sound threatening to the home as this station is only a few meters from the exterior wall. The situation here is – Termite is consistently foraging underground looking for moisture and food and a great place to go for a meal is a home built from timber. The termite interception station that has been placed every three meters surrounding the home has picked up live termites before they get to the home and attack it. The station placement is perfectly executed by picking up the termites “prior the attack” so the bait solution can be applied to the station so termites can feed on the bait, effectively eliminating the termite colony, which protects the home from an attack.
The Exterra system is a multi-step system that requires ongoing management at the property.
In-ground Exterra monitoring stations and in concrete stations are installed every 3 – 4 meters around the property and checked every 2 months, when live termites are located we apply the bait to the monitoring station to eliminate the colony. We check baited stations every month.
