Termite Barrier Renovations and Extensions are a must do!
Are You Renovating A Kitchen Or Bathroom In Queensland?
Are you or your plumbing cutting an existing slab to install new pipe work for your new kitchen or bathroom? You’ll need to comply with AS3660.1-2014 termite management (new construction).
When you cut out the old slab areas you’ve broken the slab, disturbed the soil and termites can gain entry. If you keep building and do not protect the joints around the new pipes and construction joints between slab to slab then termites will gain entry.
Did you know it is a requirement and you’ll need a Termite Treatment Certificate New Construction from your local Termite Management company to ensure it complys prior your council or private certifier inspection. “remember to get your Termite Inspector to place a label in the Meter Box prior to leaving the property, as this is also a requirement.
Nothing worse than having a brand new kitchen or bathroom installed with new flooring, to then realise you’ve got termites and the chances are they are coming up the joints in the floor. Termites do massive amounts of damage, avoid the risk.
Don’t risk it.
